The air is warmer, the sky is brighter and the birds are singing which means it’s that time of year again – Earth Day! Save Maumee is holding an event to commemorate Earth Day 2017 at Heatherwood Park April 21st, 22nd and 23rd which are this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Their goal is to plant 1,100 trees along the Maumee over the course of the weekend, but they need our help! If you would like to help plant some trees, join Save Maumee to restore some natural spaces to original glory. For more information, click the link below.
Water is a powerful element, causing both destruction while facilitating life. If you have regular access to clean drinking, count yourself lucky, because you are among the few in the world who can make that claim. To appreciate water, go through your regular routine today, and think about all the times you turn on the tap, run the shower, start the dishwasher or clothes washer, water the plants, give your dog a bath, any task that requires water. Even your electricity could have required water to be generated. We love you water! To read more about World Water Day, please click the link below.
